Mud-Masks Rock
As a recruitment consultant by day I am required to dress corporately and professionally. One thing I discovered early on was that you can’t look professional in corporate attire without make-up. I haven’t always been a big make-up fan. Before I hit my twenties my skin was still young and wholesome and looked great without any foundation – a touch of mascara and I was done!
Until very recently I did what I called Lazy Make-up. My make-up routine consisted of three steps: foundation, mascara and blush. If I had the time or was going somewhere nice I would sometimes add eye-liner pencil or eyeshadow, but not very often.
Miss Kitty Corporate however takes a few more steps: primer, concealer, foundation, liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara. All this make-up does take its toll on the skin and I’ve found that the best cure is a good mud-mask.
After a full-face of make-up for days on end and working long long days Monday to Friday, there is nothing better than taking out fifteen minutes a few nights a week to put a mask on my face, cucumbers on my eyes and relax.
The end result: Smooth soft skin that feels refreshed and rejuvenated – bliss! So what masks have you used recently? What would you recommend?
